I’m shocked to hear that Blyth Battery has been vandalised. The Battery is an important historical site and one of the best-preserved coastal batteries in the UK. It’s a volunteer run museum offering free admission and without large resources.
Originally built to defend our coast from German invasion it has survived two World Wars and I'm appalled that it now needs defending from these mindless vandals who should be ashamed of themselves.
