Kick off the bank holiday weekend early by splicing your main brace, hoisting your Jolly Roger and setting sail to the Purple Pirate Party at Headway Arts.

There'll also be entertainment from Blyth Tall Ship Shanty Singers and the Headway Arts Buccaneers, face painting, a raffle and a licenced bar.
