This years Christmas tree will be placed on Church Street, and we welcome you all to watch the lights being turned on, on the tree and around the town.
Due to the current building work around the town, this event is smaller than in previous year's and in a different location, but it will still be a wonderful evening to enjoy.
We will have Westoe Brass Band, Community Voices Choir and also the very talented Bede Academy Orchestra and Choir to entertain you.
There will be children's rides on the car park at Morrisons.
We will be joined by a craft market from 9am all the way through until to 7pm.
You may even see some magic around the streets and some hilarious crackers with their awful jokes!
Why not make an evening of it, and come into the town centre for some shopping and food then get into the festive spirit with the festive lights?
The lights will be turned on at 6 pm
